“When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.”

- Audre Lorde

My Expanded Story

The experience of living in-between identities and cultures and searching for a sense of belonging and home is a familiar one to me. Navigating my Syrian American bicultural identity and making sense of the differences and similarities has been an integral part of my lived experience. I am consistently inspired to do this work from this lens of intersectionality and to value culture, community, and connection throughout. I bring an unconditional sense of curiosity and compassion in all of my work. I believe that most long term healing happens holistically - with mind, body, and spirit exploration and alignment.

  • I am deeply passionate about exploring self and the world through non-ordinary states of consciousness. This includes breathwork and psychedelic medicines for the treatment of mental health AND the betterment of well people. I work to incorporate evidence based practice and ancient wisdom in my integration work, as well as, medicine supported therapy work.

I have worked with thousands of clients, families, and couples over the years, helping them to navigate struggle (be it trauma, loss, or life stress), move through transitions with more grace, parenting with less conflict, relationships with more tenderness, and to find their inner wisdom in all things.

I believe it is a great honor to do this work and consider myself a lifelong student, humbled by what I don’t know and empowered by what I do.

My Approach

I believe that we are walking “parables” (stories that are vehicles for wisdom) that deserve to be seen and heard.

We make meaning of our lived experience and the world through stories; I aim to help people connect with and claim their wisdom stories, anchoring identity in the beautiful context of their unique life experiences.

  • Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. This way the break and repair are a part of the story of the piece, rather than something to disguise. My mission is to work with the philosophy that we must incorporate our wounds into who we are and celebrate the ways we are stronger and more beautiful works of art because of them.

Testimonials

Jessica

“It’s hard to put into words what Sabrina brings to this work. I had seen at least 5 other therapists in the last 3 years and none of them did for me what Sabrina was able to do. She helped me better understand myself, look at the parts of myself that I don’t like without shame or judgement, and just love myself again. She has this way of attuning to the imperceptible and drawing out words to describe the feelings and thoughts that I have had for years but never found a way to communicate them. If you get the chance to work with her, you will forever be transformed.

Ryan

“Sabrina is incredible. She helped me heal from trauma and learn to trust myself again, which I didn’t even know I needed to do. She is really knowledgable but also humble and disarming. She reminded me what genuine safe human love and connection feels like. Me and my family love her!”

Sarah

“Okay, so working with Sabrina was actually really f***ing hard. I cried when I didn’t want to, I was angry at myself and people that I love when I didn’t want to be, I shook out the cobwebs of my past I didn’t know were there. It was the hardest and most rewarding internal work I have ever done.”

Erica

“My husband and I had seen at least three other therapists before finding Sabrina. We never thought we would end up where we are today. We aren’t perfect or blissfully happy. But we are more honest and loving. We have a better way of listening to one another and communicating, especially appreciations and the hard stuff too. I think by helping us face the scariest aspects of ourselves and our relationship, she helped us shift into a more honest and loving place”.
